Marilena began her career in regulatory and operational roles in the financial services industry gaining hands on experience in back-office management, client onboarding, and AML risk assessments. Over the years, she has progressed through increasingly key roles, ultimately being appointed as Executive Director and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) at Hoxton Capital Management (Europe) Ltd.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development and enhancement of policies and procedures, aiming to strengthen the governance framework, while upholding high standards of compliance. She holds a Diploma in Arts & Social Sciences from the University of Dundee (Philosophy and Psychology), CySEC Advanced Certificate and AML Certificate, and remains engaged in ongoing regulatory training and development.
Marilena lives in Larnaca with her husband and their children, integrating her professional commitments with a fulfilling personal life.
